What are the unwanted downloads? Suspicious software or Windows updates?

How long have you been receiving these unwanted downloads?

Have you recently installed new software?

For suspicious software, reboot your computer and begin tapping the F8 key

Select Safe Mode with Networking

Download the following tool and run a full scan to rule out malware

If these are Windows updates, you control the downloads

Start > click n Control Panel

Select Security

Select Turn Automatic Updating on or Off

There is a dropdown menu where you will see 'Install Windows Updates Automatically
Click on the dropdown and select 'Download Updates but let me choose when to install them.'

Or, 'Check for updates but let me choose whether to download and install them.'

Click Ok when finished

You can also choose if you want to allow anyone to install updates by selecting the Allow all users to install updates on this computer check box. You can remove them completely by following directions in this document.

This document contains a script for removing apps. I have not tested it so use it at your own risk.
