Mechanical engineers comprise the broadest category of engineers and include manufacturing engineers, aerospace engineers, and acoustical engineers. There may be several types of engineers, but all engineers have one thing in common—they work to make our lives better by problem solving and designing new gadgets, processes and structures.

What Engineers Know And How They Know It Pdf File To Download
In 2010, this book was translated into Turkish--its first foreign language translation.[1] But I'm waiting for Johns Hopkins to provide a source since all I have right now is personal conversation with Mr. Vincenti himself who I contacted for my thesis and to QC the article. --pjm (talk) 01:20, 29 January 2011 (UTC)

Variation-Selection[edit]
I've been thinking for a few years how to better articluate Mr. Vincenti's 'variation-selection' ideas. I've modified the paragraph to capture conversations with him about how this concept is at the heart of 'how' engineers 'know' in the design process. pjm — Preceding unsigned comment added by Grizanthropy (talk • contribs) 08:06, 11 May 2013 (UTC)
